Job summary

Maldon District Council is seeking an experienced ICT professional to join ICT Centralised Services in Maldon. The role is full-time with hybrid working, requiring presence in the office one day per week.

You will monitor, maintain and assure the performance and security of the Council’s ICT systems, support BAU operations and help deliver IT projects from transition to business-as-usual support. A relevant degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with strong knowledge of Azure, ITSM and

• A relevant degree or equivalent experience in ICT or a related field.
• Hands-on experience delivering ICT service delivery in local authority settings.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, ITSM practices and information governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical support across ICT services, monitoring performance and availability.
• Act as a central technical resource between IT projects and IT support during transitions.
• Monitor system performance, alerts, incidents and drive timely resolution.
• Respond to incidents and problems, flexing effort to meet operational needs.
• Provide technical input to IT projects to ensure security and stability.
• Maintain accurate technical records and monitoring data for service continuity.
• Collaborate with IT support, projects and suppliers to deliver reliable services.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a focus on continuous improvement and service quality.
