Job summary

Social Security Scotland is seeking a Principal Cyber Security Analyst – Identity & Access Management (IAM) Manager to lead a team of IAM specialists in protecting Scotland's digital services.

In a cloud-first environment, you will shape IAM strategy, drive governance and access controls, and provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders while delivering secure identity solutions across IGA, PAM, MFA and identity federation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading IAM teams and operationalising Identity and Access Management capabilities such as IGA, PAM, MFA and RBAC.
• Experience enabling risk-based decision making and governance for IAM across complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead IAM team, establish governance, standards and metrics for identity security and access control.
• Own and optimise IAM tooling and security platforms for scalable identity governance and monitoring.
• Initiate and influence relationships with senior stakeholders on IAM and cyber security initiatives.
• Provide authority on identity and access management controls and wider cyber security practices.
• Align IAM policies with business needs by understanding user adoption and technology usage patterns.
• Deliver work from the Cyber Security Strategy related to IAM, risk and information protection.
• Champion incident management, incident investigation and response policy related to identity risks.
• Assess cyber threats and maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems with IAM focus.
• Lead security assessment activities across IAM projects and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop cyber security and IAM policies and guidelines in line with best practice.
