- Lead and develop the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team
- Establish governance, standards and performance metrics for identity security and access control
- Own and optimise IAM tooling and security platforms
- Deliver scalable, automated identity governance, access management and security monitoring across the full lifecycle
- Act as a primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and influencers
- Provide authoritative IAM and cyber security advice to the organisation and wider central government community
- Align IAM policies, standards and controls with business and user needs
- Deliver Cyber Security Strategy work relating to IAM, cyber risk, access control, identity governance and information protection
- Champion incident management, investigation and response for identity, privileged access and authentication risks
- Assess and respond to cyber threats while maintaining confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and compliance
- Deliver risk assessments for complex or novel IAM and cyber security scenarios
- Lead security assessment, design, implementation and review activities
- Develop cyber security and IAM policies, standards and guidelines
Requirements
- Experience leading teams and developing and operationalising Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities, including IGA, PAM, RBAC, MFA, identity lifecycle management, authentication and authorisation services, identity federation and access governance processes; or implementing new security operating procedures and practices
- Experience enabling balanced and cost-effective risk management decisions for complex or significant-risk situations
- Experience embedding risk into corporate governance through effective reporting and assessment
- Communicating and Influencing (Level 4)
- Changing and Improving (Level 4)
- Principal Cyber Security Analyst alignment within the Government Digital and Data Profession
- Cyber security operations skills
- CV and supporting statement of no more than 750 words
- Successful completion of BPSS checks
- Successful clearance of additional National Security Vetting clearance (Security Check)
- Right to work in the UK or eligibility for a Skilled Worker visa
- Minimum 2 days per week in the assigned Glasgow or Dundee office
