Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd partners with a public sector organisation to recruit an HR Advisor on a full-time fixed-term six-month contract. The role is hybrid with some Cardiff office work and salary up to £45,636 per annum.

The successful candidate will have generalist HR advisory experience, strong knowledge of employment law, and the ability to support managers with guidance, casework and policy improvements across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a generalist HR advisory role
• Case management experience with sensitive issues
• Experience partnering with managers, employees and external partners
• Experience contributing to HR strategies and service improvement

Responsibilities

• Project-managing and supporting People processes including recruitment, absence management, performance management, grievances, disciplinaries and employee relations casework
• Providing proactive HR guidance to managers and employees, identifying practical and consistent solutions aligned to policy, employment law and business requirements
• Working closely with HR Business Partners to understand implications, outline risks and elevate complex or sensitive people matters where appropriate
• Using a coaching approach to support line managers in taking accountability for People outcomes within their functions
• Contributing to HR projects, policy development, process improvement and continuous improvement activity across the organisation
