Job summary

Raven Housing Trust is seeking a Housing Officer to join our Housing Team. This full-time role (36 hours per week) features hybrid working with two office days per week, delivering a customer-focused housing management service across general-needs and shared ownership properties.

You will conduct tenancy sign-ups and visits, handle disputes, support tenancy sustainment, and ensure estates are well maintained. A full UK driving licence and IT housing management experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding and experience of housing management and tenancy related needs.
• Ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and resolve challenging situations.
• Experience using IT housing management systems.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sign ups and tenancy visits for all new tenancies and process tenancy changes in line with legislation and internal procedures.
• Manage neighbour disputes, low-level anti-social behaviour cases, and resolve tenancy breaches, with escalation to relevant teams if necessary.
• Work proactively with customers to support successful tenancy sustainment, discuss tenancy decisions, and identify vulnerabilities and make referrals for support.
• Conduct regular inspections of communal areas and individual properties, and ensure estates are well maintained, safe, and meet agreed standards.
