Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy team near Peterborough, offering a mobile and workshop mix. You will diagnose, service and repair heavy goods vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance across a variety of models.

The role includes MOT preparation, fault finding, and timely repairs with a competitive rate of £20-£25 per hour, Monday to Friday daytime shifts. A pension and benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV mechanic, proficient in both mobile and workshop settings.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Valid HGV mechanic qualifications and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) at both workshop and client locations.
• Conduct scheduled servicing, inspections, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with a variety of HGV models.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Carry out MOT preparations.
