Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group in Peterborough is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a reputable operation. You will inspect vehicles, perform servicing and repairs, and prepare HGVs for MOT testing.

This role offers stability, strong earning potential (£41,600–£52,000 per year) and long-term progression. A Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification and full UK driving licence are required to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude across a varied HGV fleet.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Capability to deliver servicing to manufacturer and main dealer standards.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections and faultfinding diagnostics.
• Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
• Prepare HGVs for MOT testing.
• Work efficiently to manage workload and maintain productivity.
• Liaise with Workshop Manager to ensure parts are ordered and delivered promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and equipment longevity.
• Complete all required documentation accurately for each job.

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off
