Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy service and repair centre in Southampton, offering a hybrid role combining mobile roadside work with workshop repairs.

You should have HGV/LCV repair experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driving licence. Time-served and NVQ options are considered. The role includes overtime, call-outs, and weekend opportunities.

Formación

• NVQ Level 2/3 or time-served considered.
• Proven experience repairing HGVs/LCVs.
• Strong diagnostic skills with electronic systems.
• Full driving licence; HGV Class 1/2 beneficial but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Service and repair a range of commercial vehicles (vans, trucks, trailers).
• Diagnose faults using electronic tools and software.
• Replace brake, clutch and timing belt components.
• Dismantle, repair and reassemble engines/gearboxes.
• Prepare repair estimates and advise customers.
• Carry out roadside repairs and mobile servicing.
• Work safely and maintain high vehicle quality.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Move between workshop and mobile service vehicle as needed.
