Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Solution Architect to lead architecture, integration and cloud strategy for acquisitions and new build sites in London. The role is hybrid, requiring 2 days on site at Cromwell Hospital, with 37.5 hours weekly and a base salary from £90,000 plus a 10% role-specific bonus.

You will translate business needs into scalable, secure, high-availability solutions, collaborating across architecture, engineering, data, and security teams to ensure governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Solution Architecture.
• Ability to design end-to-end solutions for high-availability web, mobile, and cloud-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of UML and C4 architecture modelling.
• Experience with microservices, API-led design and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and Google Cloud platforms, including PaaS and migrations.
• Healthcare industry knowledge preferred.
• Experience integrating systems during acquisitions or new site rollouts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and integration across acquisitions and new build sites.
• Translate business challenges into strategic technology solutions, balancing cost, risk, and value.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, data, security and operations teams.
• Design and influence end-to-end solutions aligned with governance and standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners for delivery.
