Job summary

PE Global is recruiting a Hardware Electronics Engineer for production, based in Cambourne, with a 12-month contract and a hybrid setup requiring at least four days on site weekly. The role supports multidisciplinary product development from R&D to production, coordinating with global R&D, CMOs, manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include leading hardware changes, DFx/NPI, failure analysis, and reliability testing while ensuring quality and compliance.

Qualifications

B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering or similar.
Deep understanding of electronic design and DFM.
Understanding multidisciplinary product design.
At least 5 years of experience with worldwide compliance/regulations.
Knowledge of electronics components, PCB/PCBA design, batteries, RF, IR, testing methods, and ATE.
At least 5 years of experience in board design with Altium or OrCAD.

Responsibilities

Lead HW change on new and legacy products (EOL, layout updates).
Lead DFx and NPI procedures for new products.
Lead failure analysis and reliability testing on critical design aspects.
Act as component engineer for new and existing products.
Support projects to ensure designs meet quality and reliability, with validation tests.
Publish reports of results to peers and management.
Lead compliance Safety and Radio.
Lead electronic engineering work during NPI and legacy products.
