Job summary

Medway Council is seeking a dynamic Hard FM Manager to deliver contract management of FM services via supply chain partners, ensuring statutory compliance and maintenance activities across the authority. You will manage budgets, oversee in‑house and subcontracted resources, and lead a team to achieve high performance within the CPF framework.

The role focuses on sustainable delivery in line with Medway Council’s strategic objectives and ensures services are delivered safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Essential criteria at Level A must be demonstrable.
• Right to work in the UK; Medway Council cannot sponsor.
• Experience delivering Hard FM services across corporate property.
• Ability to lead a team and coordinate in‑house and subcontractors.
• Strong focus on statutory compliance and safety.
• Knowledge of sustainability initiatives aligned with council goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Hard Facilities Management across the Council’s corporate portfolio.
• Ensure statutory compliance and planned maintenance within SLAs.
• Coordinate in‑house and contractor resources to meet budgets.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing team; provide guidance.
• Align operations with Climate Action priorities and CPF.
