Job summary

Vertage is seeking a Group Technical Accounting & Statutory Reporting Manager to join our Group Finance team in a hybrid role based in London with occasional travel to Luton. You will own statutory reporting and IFRS technical accounting across the Group.

Reporting to the Head of Reporting & Consolidation, you will lead the preparation of annual statutory financial statements, coordinate disclosures, and work with regional teams, external auditors and the Group Financial Controller.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent required.
• Strong experience in preparing IFRS statutory financial statements.
• Technical accounting expertise in a multinational environment.
• Experience drafting annual report disclosures.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of statutory financial statements for Group entities and coordinate year-end reporting.
• Ensure local filing and reporting requirements and maintain statutory calendar.
• Coordinate annual report disclosures, schedules and reconciliations.
• Draft technical accounting assessments and position papers on acquisitions and restructurings.
• Lead impairment reviews and manage IFRS 16 accounting and disclosures.
• Monitor emerging accounting standards and assess impact on the business.
• Support audits with the Group Financial Controller and resolve technical audit matters.
• Improve reporting, disclosure and documentation processes with standard templates.
• Hybrid into London and Luton offices as required.
