Job summary

The Crowd in London is recruiting a GIS Specialist for an initial 6-month contract. You will manage geospatial data, produce mapping outputs, and contribute to spatial analysis across multidisciplinary teams.

Hybrid working and a dynamic project pipeline make this role ideal for progressing within a globally respected design practice. The position requires 3–5 years in GIS, proficiency in QGIS and Python, and experience with cloud GIS databases.

Qualifications

3-5 years’ experience in a GIS or Geospatial role.
Proficient in QGIS and Python.
Experience managing cloud-based GIS databases and spatial datasets.
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Degree qualified in GIS, Geomatics, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
Experience with GIS within wayfinding highly advantageous.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or web mapping technologies would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain geospatial datasets to support mapping and network analysis.
Produce clear, accurate and visually engaging map outputs for print and digital applications.
Integrate data from multiple sources into well-structured GIS databases.
Build, maintain and organise cloud-based geospatial data, ensuring permissions and accessibility.
Establish logical data structures, naming conventions and best practices for project information.
Collaborate with designers and project teams to understand spatial data requirements.
Support efficient GIS workflows across multiple projects and stakeholders.
