Job summary

Donard Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Functional Specialist to join a hybrid, full-time role in the UK healthcare sector. You will conduct unbiased assessments for the Government’s disability allowance (PIP) and provide a personalised, empathetic service to service users.

The role covers face-to-face, virtual and telephone assessments, with caseloads managed end-to-end. A starting salary of £39,500 with potential to £40,500 after DPW approval is offered, plus a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
• 1+ years post qualification experience.
• Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end caseloads, delivering face-to-face and virtual assessments.
• Prepare paper-based reports (PBR) and conduct initial review calls.
• Assess health conditions and disabilities across physical, sensory, mental, cognitive domains.
• Balance rota with breaks, CPD, evidence requests, and team meetings.
