Job summary

Ascenti, part of Advo Health, is hiring a Functional Assessor in Redruth. The role blends in-centre and home-based work, with up to 3 days face-to-face and the rest remote.

You will assess who qualifies for PIP or WCA, using clinical knowledge to understand impact on daily living. You must be a registered healthcare professional with at least 12 months post-registration, hold registration with NMC, HCPC or GPhC, and be comfortable with IT.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with at least 12 months post-registration experience.
• Full registration with NMC, HCPC or GPhC is required.
• Comfort with IT systems and producing clear written reports.

Responsibilities

• Hold telephone, video or in-person consultations with claimants.
• Assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.
• Apply clinical reasoning to understand how health affects daily living.
• Use IT and written communication skills to produce accurate reports.
• Work with your manager to support your development as a Functional Assessor.
