Job summary

Global Fire and Security Systems is seeking a Service Engineer to cover the Dundee area in a hybrid role (electrical and mechanical). You will service and maintain fire safety and security systems, perform fault finding, and contribute to high standards of customer care.

The role requires experience in fire life safety, FIA/City & Guilds qualifications are advantageous, and a valid UK driving licence. Competitive salary with overtime, on-call and door-to-door payments are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing electrical fire life safety systems.
• FIA qualifications preferred but not essential.
• City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent.
• IEE 18th Edition Regulations preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Able to work at heights up to 3 metres and lift up to 25kg.
• Excellent communication skills and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Undertake electrical and mechanical service and maintenance works in the Dundee area.
• Carry out planned maintenance in line with scheduled dates.
• Maintain and service fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems (Ansul R102).
• Carry out electrical repairs and installations as appropriate.
• Keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
• Report defects at time of service visit.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment in accordance with Health & Safety policies.
