Job summary

NHS Supply Chain seeks a Financial Reporting Manager to guide the financial reporting team through internal and external reporting, technical accounting and audit within a transforming environment.

Hybrid role with two days on-site at our Nottingham or Alfreton offices; starting salary £56,476, potential to rise to £66,443 over three years, plus extensive reward and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with several years in the role.
• Significant experience in financial accounting and audit knowledge.
• Strong technical accounting expertise.
• Experience with people management.
• Excellent communication with finance and non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate internal monthly management reporting and financial snapshots to support business performance tracking.
• Have a knowledge of IRFS16 standards.
• Liaise with auditors and respond to their queries.
• Support timely external reporting including statutory accounts and ONS submissions.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual stakeholder reports.
• Manage balance sheet accounting and reconciliations with focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee payroll reporting and align with financial controls; prepare budgeting and forecasting.
• Own and manage month end timetable; ensure reporting is delivered on time.
• Continuously review and improve reporting processes and leverage new systems for efficiency.
