Job summary

Accountable Recruitment is partnering with a major UK business to appoint an ambitious External Reporting Accountant into their high-performing finance function. This hybrid Warrington role offers £55,000-£60,000 plus a bonus and exposure to strategic group reporting.

You'll own statutory and group reporting, manage external audits, and drive improvements to reporting processes in a fast-growing environment. Candidates with ACA/ACCA and IFRS expertise are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification required.
• Experience in external/statutory reporting or group finance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK reporting frameworks (FRS 101/102).
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills; able to handle large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Own technical accounting areas across a portfolio of entities, including provisions and intercompany balances.
• Lead entity reviews with robust reconciliations, documentation and audit-ready judgments.
• Review journals, mappings and balance sheet reconciliations to identify risks and drive resolution.
• Collaborate with Management Accounts, Tax, Treasury and wider Finance to ensure accurate reporting outcomes.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS and UK standards.
• Manage external audit activities for allocated entities and coordinate responses.
