Job summary

Kenton Black Finance is recruiting for a Group Financial Controller on the outskirts of Poole. This newly established role supports a period of transition and change within a leading UK manufacturing business, operating across multiple sites.

You will drive performance and provide commercial insight as a key partner to the Finance Director. You will lead monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, payroll, statutory reporting and audit support.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a senior Financial Controller role within manufacturing.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence business strategy.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and staff management.
• Advanced experience with ERP systems and financial integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and perform month-end close within deadlines.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Oversee cash flow, reconciliations and working capital management.
• Manage payroll processes and compliance with VAT and statutory requirements.
• Lead and develop the Accounts Assistant and support external audits.
• Provide financial analysis to support operational and commercial decisions.
