The Works is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the Financial Reporting team, supporting the Senior Financial Reporting Manager and wider team in delivering accurate and well-controlled financial reporting.

You will own designated month-end reporting, reconciliations, balance sheet control and statutory reporting support, while developing technical accounting knowledge and contributing to process improvements.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 3 years in a financial reporting or accounting role.
• Experience with month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills with ability to analyse large datasets.
• Understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Own designated month-end accounting and reporting areas, ensuring journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations are completed on time.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate differences.
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Take ownership of balance sheet areas including accruals, prepayments, payroll and intercompany balances.
• Support property and fixed asset accounting activities as required.
• Prepare schedules and analysis for interim and year-end reporting.
• Assist with subsidiary accounts, annual report disclosures, and statutory reporting.
• Assist external audit by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
