Job summary

Judicium is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join the central finance team in London. You will prepare monthly management accounts, perform variance analysis, and support budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audits.

The role requires ACCA/CIMA finalist or part-qualified candidates with strong Excel skills and experience in month-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations, and VAT returns. Hybrid working from our Holborn office is offered with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ACCA or CIMA finalist / part-qualified, actively progressing towards qualification.
• Strong experience in monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Experience with month-end close processes: journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Balance-sheet reconciliations and resolving aged items.
• Variance analysis and financial commentary.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Group and entity VAT returns.
• Fixed assets — additions, disposals and depreciation.
• Supporting year-end accounts and external audit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Deliver variance analysis, financial commentary and KPI reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting.
• Provide insights into revenue and costs with historical trends for business partners.
• Deliver month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and ensure GL integrity.
• Maintain controls over financial transactions and reporting processes.
• Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation.
• Support statutory reporting and year-end audits.
• Drive process improvements and reporting automation.
