Job summary

Sharp Consultancy are currently working with a well-established manufacturing business in Sheffield seeking a Financial Accountant. The role is ideal for an ACA, ACCA or CIMA studier, or AAT qualified, bringing strong practice grounding and a commercial outlook.

You will own a broad range of financial accounting duties, work with colleagues across finance, and help drive improvements in processes and controls while developing commercial acumen within the business.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA – studier or AAT qualified.
• Strong technical grounding from practice.
• Accountancy practice experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with year-end accounts, VAT returns and audit requirements.
• Analyse financial performance and identify key trends and variances.
• Support financial controls and process improvements.
• Maintain general ledgers and correct accounting errors.
