Job summary

Gamma Comms in Newbury is offering an Apprentice Accounts Assistant role supporting the finance team with monthly tasks, journals, cost centres, and year-end work. You'll balance study with on-the-job learning, aiming for AAT Level 3 then Level 4.

The role follows the finance team's hybrid pattern with three office days per week, and a focus on building skills in management accounts, OPEX reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and audits.

Qualifications

• School/college leavers or graduates welcome
• AAT Level 3 to progress to Level 4 preferred
• Experience in finance administration or purchase ledger/cost control is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support monthly management accounts preparation.
• Prepare month-end journals for accruals and prepayments.
• Do intercompany reconciliations and fixed asset register updates.
• Update monthly forex rates and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with OPEX reporting and year-end audits.
