Job summary

Southend on Sea City Council is seeking a full-time Early Help Support Practitioner on a fixed-term contract until August 2027. The role focuses on high-quality family support, crisis response for families, children and young people, and managing a caseload in the community and at home within the Families First Partnership Programme.

You will work with adults and children, lead and chair multi-agency reviews, plan and assess, and maintain your own diary with on-site requirements at the Civic

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level and/or hold a relevant professional qualification in social care.
• Experience with pre-birth cases up to 18 years old.
• Experience of case holding and lone working with adults and children.
• Ability to assess, plan and work towards sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload of families and deliver home/community interventions.
• Lead and chair multi-agency review meetings.
• Manage own diary and frequent home visits.
• Contribute to the Families First Partnership Programme objectives.
