Job summary

EVEREC in Oxfordshire is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to next‑gen EV platforms and systems. You will design mechanical components, run validation, and work across multidisciplinary teams from concept through to production in a hybrid setting.

Ideal candidates bring strong automotive mechanical design experience, proficiency in major CAD tools, and a practical grasp of manufacturability and testing.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in automotive mechanical design environments.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, NX).
• Understanding of DFM/DFA and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs and CAD models for automotive systems.
• Produce drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Support full lifecycle from concept to production.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability and cost targets.
• Coordinate with electrical, systems, and prototype teams.
• Support testing and validation activities.
