Job summary

Southern Water is seeking an Environmental Advisor to manage environmental risk within a diverse portfolio of projects. You will support design, maintenance and construction through the Enabling Team in Engineering Technical Services, providing expert guidance across environmental topics with specialist support.

You will help navigate legislation, deliver mitigation solutions, and identify opportunities to enhance the built and natural environment, while advising the wider business as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in environmental assessment.
• Degree in environmental science/related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking environmental assessments across a range of projects.
• Producing clear, accurate reports with evidence-based conclusions.
• Developing mitigation strategies with senior colleagues.
