Job summary

Certes IT Service Solutions is seeking a skilled Network Engineer for a permanent role within a public sector digital services team based in Warwickshire. The position covers designing, building, operating and enhancing enterprise network infrastructure across physical and virtual environments, with hybrid work and on-site requirements as needed.

The ideal candidate holds Cisco CCNA/CCNP (or equivalent) and 3–5 years of experience in designing, deploying and maintaining complex networks.

Qualifications

• Cisco CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification.
• 3–5 years of experience in designing, deploying and maintaining enterprise networks.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, security practices and virtualization environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable network solutions aligned with organisational goals.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points both physically and virtually.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects and ensure security compliance.
• Contribute to network policy development, documentation and disaster recovery planning.
