Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is seeking a proactive Management Accountant for a 12-month fixed term contract in Birmingham. The role supports the Engineering service line across the UK, delivering monthly management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting with strong Excel skills.

You will work with Finance Business Partners, commercial and operational teams to provide financial insight, strengthen controls and drive performance improvements. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification preferred.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or finalist) and strong accounting background.
• Experience in management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
• Review project performance via CVR to identify risks/opportunities.
• Monitor trends and provide insight to support decisions.
• Support governance, audits and continuous improvement of processes.
