Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Glasgow seeks an experienced Engineering / Design Manager to guide multi-disciplinary projects in Nuclear, Defence, and other sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for design management, team leadership, and ensuring quality assurance. This role requires a Chartered Engineer or Architect with experience in managing complex projects and strong client relationship skills. Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience managing design, build and/or operate commissions on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Good understanding of construction contract processes, i.e., NEC3 or 4.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Awareness of sustainable design and Net Zero principles.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain a robust Design Management Plan.
• Ensure Technical Quality Assurance/Control processes are in place.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings to integrate operational requirements into design.
• Monitor resource requirements and ensure adequate resources for project delivery.
