Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Exeter is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our engineering and infrastructure team on a permanent basis, with hybrid working across the South West. The role covers design, procurement, installation and commissioning, and offers exposure to varied, technically challenging projects.

You will coordinate electrical activities on schemes from £1m to £30m, ensure safety, quality and programme targets, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience supporting electrical projects through design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.
• Review electrical designs, procurement and contractor information supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders to ensure successful integration of electrical systems.
• Provide technical support during construction and installation, aiding problem-solving, quality assurance and programme management.
• Monitor progress and contribute to delivery within budget and timescales.
• Support continuous improvement and promote best practice across teams.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers where appropriate.
