Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Ivybridge, Devon, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary consultancy. You will manage electrical design projects from concept through to completion for industrial and logistics sectors, producing calculations, specifications and drawings while coordinating with clients and teams.

The role offers hands-on design, project responsibility and opportunities for increasing autonomy, with a focus on sustainable, robust design and professional growth

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong communication skills with clients and project stakeholders.
• Experience delivering electrical design projects across RIBA stages.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Knowledge of relevant British Standards and UK Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage full electrical design of projects of varying sizes in industrial and logistics sectors.
• Produce calculations, specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and wider teams to deliver projects on time.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and project requirements.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and Graduate Engineers.
