Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council’s Children and Families Department is seeking an EHCP Assistant Practitioner to provide essential administrative and casework support within the Statutory SEND Service. Your role will help ensure statutory processes are followed, contributing to better outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the Children & Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clear, accurate, and organised case records in line with council policies and data protection laws.
• Support the Statutory SEND Service in meeting service targets and statutory obligations.
• Act as the first point of contact for enquiries regarding EHC processes.
• Gather, process, and update case information in relevant databases, assisting in monitoring and tracking progress.
