Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking an Assistant EHC Practitioner to act as the first point of contact for enquiries about the statutory Education, Health and Care needs assessment process. You will guide families and professionals through timelines and expectations, collaborating with education settings and multi-agency partners to tailor support to each child’s needs.

The role requires GCSE English/Maths, NVQ3 in Advice and Guidance (or equivalent), and at least two years in a

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a health, education or care setting including admin.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure EHC needs assessments are completed within statutory timescales.
  • Gather, process and update case information in databases.
  • Monitor and track case progress and provide admin and casework support.
  • Maintain accurate, well-organised case records in line with policies.
  • Work with families, education settings and multi-agency professionals to meet statutory requirements.
