Somerset Council in Taunton is seeking an Assessment and Reviewing Officer to join the Statutory SEND team. You will manage a caseload of children with Education Health Care Plans and coordinate EHCP assessments and annual reviews within statutory timescales.

You'll act as the main point of contact for families, schools and professionals, working across education, health and social care to produce clear, person-centred plans and maintain accurate case records. Hybrid working is available.

Formación

• Must have relevant professional qualification and ongoing development.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCPs and person-centred planning.
• Experience with multi-agency work and leading meetings.
• Ability to assess risk and safeguard vulnerable children.
• Skilled in producing high-quality, outcome-focused plans.
• Proficient with IT systems and databases.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication with children, families and professionals.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate EHCP assessments and reviews within statutory timescales.
