Job summary

Morson Talent is seeking an EC&I Engineer for a leading client in the nuclear sector based in Cumbria. The role is full-time, 37 hours per week with a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

You will apply electrical, control and instrumentation knowledge to deliver project requirements, interface with customers and supply chain on design issues, and ensure procedures and standards are correctly applied. A degree in engineering is required and BPSS clearance is expected.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in multi-discipline teams to deliver project activities.
  • Nuclear industry experience is not required.
  • Demonstrable experience in electrical engineering tasks.
  • Strong communications skills and ability to interface with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering knowledge to deliver project requirements.
  • Interface with customers and supply chain on design issues and assist with procurement specifications.
  • Ensure procedures, codes and standards are identified and applied to activities.
  • Provide technical interfaces with internal and external stakeholders at a detailed level.
  • Carry out investigations and analyses to provide data for problem resolution and design improvements.
  • Contribute to process improvements in quality, cycle time and asset utilisation.
  • Produce technical solutions and documentation to support assigned tasks and projects.
  • Produce and review outputs including calculations, analyses, technical reports, specifications and method statements.
