Job summary

The National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Data Loss Prevention Lead to join the Data Protection team. You will monitor, investigate and optimise DLP controls to protect sensitive information, working with cybersecurity, legal and compliance to reduce data leakage risk.

The role translates business requirements into robust DLP policies and dashboards. The role is based in Warwick with hybrid working from office and home, open to full- or part-time applicants.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement Microsoft Purview DLP policies across MS 365 services and endpoints.
• Experience analysing DLP trends and reducing false positives while maintaining protection.
• Strong understanding of data classification, information governance and privacy principles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor DLP alerts and events.
• Investigate data leakage incidents and assess risk.
• Escalate incidents per governance processes.
• Translate requirements into effective DLP controls.
• Review DLP rules to reduce false positives.
• Produce metrics and reports on DLP effectiveness and risk.
• Support root cause analysis and preventative actions.
• Assist with audits and assurance activities.
