Job summary

Experian is seeking a Senior Insider Risk Specialist to advance the Insider Risk Management Program and DLP governance. The role is hybrid, with 40% in the office in Nottingham or London, reporting to the Insider Risk Director.

You will partner with DLP Engineering, review policies, develop detection use cases, and deliver dashboards and reporting using DLP, SIEM, and UEBA. Strong governance and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information security, information systems, computer science or related field.
• Experience in data loss prevention, insider risk, cybersecurity or related security discipline.
• Experience with DLP technologies and familiarity with SIEM, UEBA or similar security platforms.
• Knowledge of insider risk, data protection, cybersecurity governance and risk management practices.
• Experience evaluating business risk and applying governance principles to security controls, policy reviews and exception management.
• Experience collaborating across technical and business teams.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting/visualization tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCITP, GCIH, GIAC or ITPM.

Responsibilities

• Partner with DLP Engineering to review and approve DLP policies, ensuring alignment with insider risk governance standards and business requirements.
• Review and approve DLP exception requests, assess justification and residual risk.
• Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities to improve DLP coverage and strengthen data protection controls.
• Develop and enhance insider risk detection use cases, analytics, dashboards, and reporting using DLP, SIEM, UEBA and related tech.
• Support insider risk investigations by providing DLP SME guidance, reporting and analysis.
• Develop program metrics, documentation, and reporting to measure the Insider Risk and DLP Governance Programs.
• Analyze DLP trends, exception requests, and emerging insider risk patterns to guide awareness and training materials.
• Support governance activities by assessing controls and recommending risk-based improvements with the Business Engagement Officer.
