Job summary

i-confidential Limited is seeking a Data Loss Prevention Analyst on a six-month contract in London with hybrid working. You will join a global financial services organisation to strengthen DLP controls, investigate alerts and reduce false positives.

You'll work with Purview, Zscaler and Mimecast, collaborate with Security Operations, Privacy and Legal teams, and help mature the enterprise DLP capability.

Qualifications

• Experience investigating DLP alerts and identifying genuine incidents.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles.
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate DLP alerts across Purview, Zscaler and Mimecast.
• Assess alerts to identify genuine incidents and false positives.
• Escalate confirmed incidents to Privacy and Cyber Security teams.
• Investigate user activity and data classification to assess risk.
• Support tuning and optimisation of DLP policies to improve detection accuracy.
• Reduce alert noise and mature the DLP capability.
• Produce clear documentation and maintain audit trails.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Privacy and Legal teams during investigations.

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst

6 Month Contract | Inside IR35 | London (Hybrid)

We're supporting a global financial services organisation that is investing heavily in its Data Loss Prevention capability and is looking for an experienced DLP Analyst to join the team on an initial six-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a mature cyber security function where you'll play a key role in protecting sensitive information, improving detection capabilities and helping shape the ongoing development of the organisation's DLP controls.

Working alongside the DLP Team Lead, you'll investigate DLP alerts, identify genuine security risks, reduce false positives and help improve policies across Microsoft Purview, Zscaler and Mimecast.

What you'll be doing

• Monitoring and investigating DLP alerts across Microsoft Purview, Zscaler and Mimecast
• Assessing alerts to identify genuine incidents, policy violations and false positives
• Escalating confirmed security incidents to Privacy and Cyber Security teams
• Investigating user activity, data classification and business context to determine risk
• Supporting the tuning and optimisation of DLP policies to improve detection accuracy
• Reducing alert noise and helping improve the maturity of the DLP capability
• Producing clear documentation and maintaining accurate audit trails
• Working closely with Security Operations, Privacy and Legal teams throughout investigations

We're looking for someone with experience in

• Microsoft Purview DLP
• Enterprise Data Loss Prevention technologies
• Security Operations or Cyber Security Analyst roles
• Incident investigation and alert triage
• Data classification and information protection
• GDPR and data protection principles
• Policy tuning and reducing false positives
• Working within regulated enterprise environments

Contract Details
