Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our hybrid team. The role involves delivering reliability improvements via automation, observability, and best practices across databases and services.

You will support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, with hands-on work on major enterprise databases including Oracle, IBM DB2, SAP HANA and SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, performance tuning capabilities, and experience in security controls and

Qualifications

Experience delivering reliability improvements through automation and observability.
Experience supporting CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation.
Experience with enterprise databases including Oracle, IBM DB2, SAP HANA and SQL Server.
Strong SQL skills including query optimisation, troubleshooting and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

Deliver reliability improvements through automation, observability and engineering best practices.
Support CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation activities.
Experience monitoring database health, utilisation, availability and performance.
Understanding of backup, recovery, replication and disaster recovery processes.
Experience identifying and resolving database, application and infrastructure performance bottlenecks.
