Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Software Engineer in Cyber Security Assured Design in Manchester with hybrid work arrangements. You will design secure patterns for cloud-native and microservices architectures, and develop reusable security components and automation to enable secure-by-design adoption.

Working with engineering and architecture teams, you will embed security controls within CI/CD pipelines and translate security requirements into practical implementations for developers, while

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical experience and ability to write, troubleshoot and fix code.
• Understanding of Cyber Security domains and Cloud Security (GCP, Azure).
• Outcome-focused delivery with secure outcomes in mind.
• Deliver secure-by-design across the lifecycle for Lloyds Banking Group.
• Passionate about automating repetitive tasks.
• Solid understanding of containerisation and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design secure design patterns for cloud-native and microservices architectures.
• Build and maintain reusable security components and reference implementations.
• Develop Python-based services, tooling or automation for secure-by-design adoption.
• Support engineering teams in embedding security in CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with GCP services to design scalable, secure architectures.
• Translate security requirements into practical implementations for developers.
• Contribute to and maintain secure design documentation and guidance.
• Collaborate with architects and product teams to embed security early in design decisions.
• Improve developer experience and self-service security capabilities.
