Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an experienced engineering leader in a hybrid role, based in the UK. The position emphasizes hands-on DevOps work, modern automation, and strong leadership to guide an infrastructure team through secure, scalable delivery.

You will drive from ClickOps to DevOps, embed code-driven delivery, and mentor engineers to adopt modern practices while balancing security and usability.

Qualifications

• A few years hands-on modern engineering across infrastructure, policy and config as code, with delivery using CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven success in system automation and API integrations.
• Around 5 years of leadership experience in infrastructure engineering with line management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Line manage and mentor an engineering team, promoting a high-performance culture.
• Provide hands-on DevOps engineering expertise, embedding IaC, Policy as Code, CI/CD, API-driven automation, and observability into solutions.
• Ensure the team adopts Agile ways of working, focusing on delivering value and adapting to changing priorities.
• Maintain relationships with internal product teams and external vendors to ensure service quality.
• Balance usability and security to deliver end-user experiences while maintaining security posture.
