Job summary

Citi Belfast is seeking an AVP, Desk Assistant – Sales Support to drive orderly execution of client-driven reverse inquiry flow across cross-asset OTC derivatives and structured notes. You will partner with Sales and Trading to manage the full trade lifecycle from execution to settlement.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and collaboration across Front Office and Operations in a hybrid work model with a competitive base salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales support, trade assistant, or structured products middle office role within a global investment bank or financial institution.
• Knowledge of cross-asset structured products and OTC derivatives (e.g., equity-linked notes, autocallables, interest rate derivatives).
• Advanced Excel (VBA/macros); Python/SQL for automation or data analysis are strong differentiators.

Responsibilities

• Execute and control end-of-day primary order volumes for structured notes and cross-asset OTC derivatives with pre-hedge validation and issuance-date reviews.
• Oversee daily setup, validation, and activation of secondary market contributions with the trading desk.
• Manage secondary order booking flow and resolve trade fails and settlement exceptions.
• Investigate daily sanity checks and data integrity issues across front-to-back platforms and booking systems.
• Conduct confirmations against internal booking records and remediate discrepancies with Sales, Trading, Product Control, and Operations.
• Drive oversight of fee payments and pursue automation to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
