Job summary

Morson Edge is partnering with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit a Design Manager for major UK water infrastructure projects. The role is based in Epsom / Woodcote Grove with hybrid working and a 12-month contract, offering up to £69 per hour.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage technical delivery, and lead design packages through the project lifecycle, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience coordinating or managing an engineering design delivery team.
• Strong experience within the Water sector is essential.
• Experience coordinating with MEICA, structures and geotechnics.
• Knowledge of current design codes and industry best practice including CDM and Eurocodes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering water infrastructure projects.
• Manage production and review of design reports, drawings, calculations and scopes of work.
• Drive technical input across project design stages with quality and compliance.
• Work with project management to manage time and budgets against milestones.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure delivery objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced colleagues.
• Support technical input for bid proposals and tendering.
• Coordinate with UK and overseas multidisciplinary teams for integrated designs.
