Job summary

EveryMatrix in London is seeking a dedicated Database Administrator to join our team. You will install, configure, and maintain our database systems, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity with strong HA/DR practices.

You will collaborate with the DBA Team, implement security policies, and develop automation to streamline operations. Hybrid work is available after initial period; 25 days annual leave, medical insurance, and learning budgets are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA.
• Experience with replication and performance tuning.
• Scripting & Automation: Shell scripting or Ansible for automation.
• Monitoring Tools: PMM, Grafana, Nagios or similar.
• Security & Compliance: database security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Problem-Solving: strong troubleshooting and proactive issue resolution.
• Collaboration: work with DBA Team and cross-functional teams.
• Certifications: nice to have current database tech certifications.
• Ability to work on call rotation and provide 24/7 production support.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain the company's database management systems.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexing, and resources.
• Manage backups and recovery strategies and ensure data integrity.
• Implement and enforce database security policies with the DBA Team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with the DBA Team on SOPs and process improvements.
• Support HA/DR and capacity planning for growth.
• Develop automation scripts for routine DBA tasks.
• Maintain up-to-date database documentation and share knowledge.
