Job summary

Datatech in Berkshire is seeking a Data Scientist for a hybrid role (2 days in the office). You will apply machine learning, predictive modelling, and statistical rigour to tackle real-world business challenges across customer behaviour, risk, and pricing.

As part of the Data team, you will build end-to-end solutions, collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics to deploy reproducible pipelines, monitor model performance, and translate insights into measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and iterating on ML models in a commercial setting.
• Strong Python skills and solid statistical grounding.
• Experience with cloud or modern data platforms (Fabric, Azure, or Databricks).
• Clear, impactful communication bridging technical models and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end ML solutions: scope, design, train, and deploy production-ready models and experiments.
• Shape the Platform: collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics to build reproducible pipelines and integrate workloads into a unified analytics platform.
• Drive Business Impact: translate data into actionable predictions and partner with cross-functional teams to unlock competitive advantage.
• Ensure Model Excellence: monitor live model performance and promote MLOps best practices.
