Job summary

Liberty IT is seeking a data scientist to bridge traditional data science with technical research into generative AI, agentic systems, and large language models. You will work with Python and modern DS tooling, applying exploratory analyses to large datasets and collaborating with senior staff to ship impactful solutions.

You will participate in knowledge sharing, coaching peers, and growing a robust DS lifecycle skillset within a hybrid-working environment.

Qualifications

• A third level qualification in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or another quantitative field.
• Two years postgraduate relevant Data Science experience in a commercial environment or PhD with research experience in DS.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop solutions to complex business problems using large, unstructured data.
• Support delivery of high-quality products, models and algorithms in a timely manner.
• Communicate complex concepts to stakeholders in accessible terms.
• Grow knowledge across the Data Science life cycle.
• Share learnings through internal talks, blogging and external events.
