Job summary

AXA UK is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join the Commercial team. You will design end-to-end data science solutions within a cloud-based data lake, building advanced ML and GenAI models to drive measurable business impact.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, deploy production-ready solutions, and mentor junior colleagues while contributing to the DS strategy and standards across AXA Commercial.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in data science with machine learning or applied statistics.
• Advanced Python proficiency and production-grade solution development.
• Hands-on Databricks and Azure experience; Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and monitor production-ready ML and GenAI solutions with business stakeholders.
• Contribute to analytics hopper with new use cases.
• Identify opportunities for analytics-driven business problems.
• Be a point of contact for data science projects with stakeholders.
• Advocate for advanced analytics and data-based decision making across teams.
• Stay updated on market trends and guide DS strategy and standards.
• Mentor junior team members.
