Job summary

Computappoint is seeking a Software Engineer to help deliver a strategic data platforms and automation programme for a major financial services organisation. You will design and develop scalable ETL pipelines, build APIs and search interfaces, and contribute to automation and data analytics capabilities.

The role requires strong Python and/or PowerShell skills, frontend experience with React, and experience with MSSQL or Oracle, data archiving, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Strong Python and/or PowerShell skills.
• Front-end development experience with React.
• Experience with MSSQL, Oracle, or similar databases.
• Knowledge of search and indexing platforms and data archiving.
• Familiarity with Power BI or data visualisation tools.
• Ansible or infrastructure automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable ETL and data ingestion pipelines.
• Build APIs and search interfaces for enterprise data platforms.
• Develop automation and self-service capabilities to streamline onboarding processes.
• Create analytics and reporting solutions that provide meaningful business insights.
• Contribute to the design and optimisation of underlying platform infrastructure.
• Work closely with engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders.
• Produce high-quality, well-tested, and well-documented code.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the platform.
