Job summary

Corehr is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering team. You will design, develop and support enterprise-scale data solutions using a Microsoft stack to improve customer experiences and enable data-driven decisions.

Working with Architects and stakeholders, you will translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, drive data quality, governance and security, and contribute to Agile ceremonies and documentation.

Location:Hybrid - adhoc travel to Marlow office

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering team.

You will work with Microsoft technologies to design, develop and support enterprise-scale data solutions that improve customer experiences and help colleagues make informed, data-driven decisions.

Working closely with Architects, Senior Engineers and business stakeholders, you will take ownership of solutions from initial concept through to implementation. You will translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, resolve complex data challenges and identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality and business outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

• Working with stakeholders to understand, challenge and refine requirements

What we’re looking for

• At least five years’ experience in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence delivery
• Strong experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
• Strong SQL skills, including experience with T-SQL and DAX
• Experience designing and developing ETL and ELT data pipelines
• A solid understanding of data warehousing, data modelling, dimensional modelling and data architecture
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience gathering, analysing and refining requirements with business stakeholders
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes independently
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within an Agile delivery environment

It would be an advantage if you have

• Experience within mortgages, financial services or another regulated environment
• Experience with Power BI, including dashboards, reporting and semantic models
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Functions
• Experience consuming APIs and working with JSON or XML
• Knowledge of Python, C# or PowerShell
• Experience with Git repositories and branching strategies
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and DevOps tooling, including Bicep, YAML and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Power Platform technologies
• Relevant Microsoft or Azure Data Platform certifications
