Job summary

GMCA is seeking a Data Engineer to lead the development of scalable data pipelines on the Microsoft Fabric platform as part of the DDaT strategy. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, compliant data solutions across the GMCA environment.

The role focuses on ETL, data warehousing concepts, and BI tooling with SSIS/SSRS/Power BI, while mentoring colleagues and supporting continuity planning within GMCA.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or significant demonstrable experience.
• Understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Modelling concepts.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of stable, reusable, scalable data pipeline solutions using GMCA's Fabric platform.
• Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to implement data pipelines from multiple sources.
• Advise on tools and methods for automation and data visualization to deliver insights.
• Administer data and application security, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation.
• Monitor performance and improvements of ETL processes.
• Coach others in data engineering tools and processes.
• Manage incidents and requests via the Service Desk.
